Tables connect your information directly to the work. No more copying and pasting, so you save time and prevent errors.
Your records connect directly to the Work Graph®, so your team, Asana Dash, and AI Teammates work with more context.
Bring in data from across platforms to Asana easily, so your information starts powering lookups and grounding AI right away.
Connect a task or project to a record in a Table. A reference field makes the link, and lookup fields show that record's details.
Change a detail once in Tables, and that update stays current wherever it's referenced.
Import records via CSV, API, or MCP, or convert an existing reference project into a Table.
Tables are a new way to store structured information in Asana. Each row in a table is a Record: something your work depends on, like a vendor, property, customer, or asset. You define the fields for each record type, and you can reference records from your tasks and projects. Think of it this way: tasks are the things you do, and records are the things you do them for or with.
Projects and tasks are built for the flow of work, so custom fields on a task describe that piece of work, like its priority or status. Tables are built for information that exists whether or not a task does, like your vendor list or asset catalog. When you add a field to a table, it applies to every record, wherever that record is referenced. That makes Tables the right home for data you want to keep and reuse, not just track until it's done.
Yes. Records give AI Teammates and AI Studio workflows real business context to work from, so answers are based on your actual data instead of guesses. The more relevant data your team keeps in Tables, the more specific and useful those answers get.
Yes. If you're keeping a vendor list, asset catalog, or similar data in a spreadsheet or another tool, you can bring it into Tables with a CSV import, or load it programmatically through the API. Then link those records to the tasks and projects that use them.
Spreadsheets and standalone database tools keep your information separate from your work, so you copy it between tools or sync back and forth. Asana Tables keeps it in Asana, connected to the projects and tasks that use it, so a change made once shows up everywhere it's referenced. Tables is built for reference information like vendor lists and asset catalogs. It isn't designed to replace an SQL database or BI tool.
Asana Tables is available on Asana's Advanced, Enterprise, and Enterprise+ plans.
